GOVERNING BODY OF

DEKALB, TEXAS

 

 

Notice is hereby given that the regular meeting of the governing body of the City of De Kalb, Texas, will be held on Tuesday the 12th day of May 2026 at 6:30 p.m.  De Kalb City Hall 210 N Runnels, De Kalb, Texas 75559, at which time the following subjects will be discussed:

 

  1. Call to Order

  2. Invocation and Pledge

 

  1. Discussion and possible action to canvas the votes for the 2026 De Kalb General Election

 

  1. Discussion and possible action to approve Resolution 2026-007 De Kalb Election Results

 

  1. Swear in Mayor, Council Place 1and Council Place 2

 

  1. Discussion and possible action to appoint Mayor Pro Tem

 

  1. Open Forum (limited to 3 minutes)

  2. Approve Minutes

  3. Payment of Bills

  4. TWDB Project update

 

  1. Departmental Reports

 

 

  1. Discussion and possible action to extend the line of credit at De Kalb State Bank

 

  1. Discussion and possible action to approve Resolution 2026-008 abandon ROW at 116 S. Johnson St.

 

  1. Discussion and possible action to contract with Ron Perrin Water Technologies to clean ground storage and water tower

 

  1. Discussion and possible action to approve permit waivers for 82 garage sales.

 

  1. Discussion and possible action to allow Mayor to meet with BCAD concerning freezing property taxes for elderly home owners.

 

  1. Discussion and possible action to approve the city to apply for a Park Grant

I, the undersigned authority, do hereby certify that the above Notice of Meeting of the governing body of De Kalb, Texas is a true and correct copy of said Notice and that I posted copy of said Notice on the bulletin board, in the City Hall of De Kalb, Texas; a place convenient and readily accessible to the general public at all times, and said Notice was posted May 05, 2026 by 5:00PM, and remained so posted continuously for at least 3 days preceding the scheduled time of said meeting.
