GOVERNING BODY OF

DEKALB, TEXAS

 

 

Notice is hereby given that the regular meeting of the governing body of the City of De Kalb, Texas, will be held on Tuesday the 10th day of February 2026 at 6:30 p.m.  De Kalb City Hall 210 N Runnels, De Kalb, Texas 75559, at which time the following subjects will be discussed:

  1. Open Forum (limited to 3 minutes)

 

  1. Approve Minutes

 

  1. Payment of Bills

 

  1. Departmental Reports

 

  1. Discussion and possible action to sale 2014 Ford Explorer  1FM5K8AR9EGA60056

 

  1. Discussion and possible action to order the 2026 City Election

 

  1. Discussion and possible action to approve Ordinance 2026-001 City of DeKalb, Texas Code of Ordinances § 4-2-1.  Concerning a firing range.

 

  1. Discussion and possible action to accept the Police Departments Racial Profiling Report

 

  1. Mayoral Report

  2. EDC Report

  3. P&Z Report

 

  1. Mayor and Council will retire to closed session pursuant to Government Code 551.074   Personnel/Legal Matters

I, the undersigned authority, do hereby certify that the above Notice of Meeting of the governing body of De Kalb, Texas is a true and correct copy of said Notice and that I posted copy of said Notice on the bulletin board, in the City Hall of De Kalb, Texas; a place convenient and readily accessible to the general public at all times, and said Notice was posted February 4, 2026 by 5:00PM, and remained so posted continuously for at least 3 days preceding the scheduled time of said meeting.

 

NOTE: The Council reserves the right to retire into Executive Session concerning any of the items listed on this Agenda, whenever it is considered permissible under the Open Meetings Act. 

CITY COUNCIL MEETING AGENDA ADDENDUM

Notice is hereby given of an addendum to the Regular City Council Meeting of items coming before the City Council of  De Kalb, TX  to be held on Tuesday February 10, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. at: City Hall, 210 N. Runnels, De Kalb, TX 75559, for the purpose of adding the following agenda item. All agenda items are subject to action. The City Council reserves the right to meet in a closed session on any agenda item should the need arise and if applicable pursuant to authorization by Title 5, Chapter 551, of the Texas Government Code.

 

  1. Discussion or possible action to approve Resolution 2026-002 Body Worn Camer Grant Application
