NOTICE OF MEETING OF THE

GOVERNING BODY OF

DEKALB, TEXAS

 

 

 

Notice is hereby given that the regular meeting of the governing body of the City of De Kalb, Texas, will be held on Tuesday the 10th day of December 2024 at 6:30 p.m. De Kalb City Hall 210 N Runnels, De Kalb, Texas 75559, at which time the following subjects will be discussed:

 

1. Call to Order

2. Invocation and Pledge

3. Open Forum (limited to 3 minutes)

4. Approve Minutes

5. Payment of Bills

6. Departmental Reports

7. Discussion and possible action to hire JSG Homes as the contractor for the HOME Program to construct

• 120 W. Elliott

• 603 N. Runnels

1. Discussion and possible action to purchase 3 trucks

2. Discussion and possible action to procure a loan with State Bank of De Kalb to finance the trucks.

3. Discussion and possible action to adopt Water Conservation Plan

4. EDC Director Report

5. Mayoral Update

6. Mayor and Council will retire to closed session pursuant to Government Code 551.074   Personnel/Legal Matters

7. Mayor and Council will return to Open Session to consider and take official action.

I, the undersigned authority, do hereby certify that the above Notice of Meeting of the governing body of De Kalb, Texas is a true and correct copy of said Notice and that I posted copy of said Notice on the bulletin board, in the City Hall of De Kalb, Texas; a place convenient and readily accessible to the general public at all times, and said Notice was posted December 06, 2024 by 5:00 PM, and remained so posted continuously for at least 72 hours preceding the scheduled time of said meeting.

 

NOTE: The Council reserves the right to retire into Executive Session concerning any of the items listed on this Agenda, whenever it is considered permissible under the Open Meetings Act.
