NOTICE OF MEETING OF THE

GOVERNING BODY OF

DEKALB, TEXAS

 

 

Notice is hereby given that the regular meeting of the governing body of the City of De Kalb, Texas, will be held on Tuesday the 9th day of June 2026 at 6:30 p.m.  De Kalb City Hall 210 N Runnels, De Kalb, Texas 75559, at which time the following subjects will be discussed:

 

  1. Call to Order

  2. Invocation and Pledge

  3. Open Forum (limited to 3 minutes)

  4. Approve Minutes

  5. Payment of Bills

  6. Departmental Reports

  7. Discussion and possible to approve Ordinance 2026-009 Freezing Ad Valorem Taxes on Senior Residents

  8.  Discussion and possible to approve Resolution 2026-010 Approve award to selected grant management firm Grantworks for grant pre-application, application, and implementation services for the City of De Kalb, The Texas Water Development Board Program Water Supply and Infrastructure Grants.

  9. Discussion and possible to approve Resolution 2026-011 Select Engineering/Architectural service provider A.L. Franks to complete engineering/architectural services for The Texas Water Development Board Water Supply and Infrastructure Grants.

  10. Discussion and possible action to approve contract with Kathy Barnwell for audit preparation.

  11. Discussion to form a variance committee

  12. EDC Report

  13. P&Z Report

  14. Mayoral Report

  15. Mayor and Council will retire to closed session pursuant to Government Code 551.074   Personnel/Legal Matters

I, the undersigned authority, do hereby certify that the above Notice of Meeting of the governing body of De Kalb, Texas is a true and correct copy of said Notice and that I posted copy of said Notice on the bulletin board, in the City Hall of De Kalb, Texas; a place convenient and readily accessible to the general public at all times, and said Notice was posted June 3, 2026 by 5:00PM, and remained so posted continuously for at least 3 days preceding the scheduled time of said meeting.
